"Your body is your guide. Your body is the compass you use to navigate the journey to trusting yourself. The feeling in your body is your north star, guiding you from external validation to internal. It is the portal to the voice inside that asks for what you REALLY want."

My Qoya Journey

How I fell in love with the spirit of Qoya

In 2017 I became an Ambassador for the Rise as One project in India. RAO collaborates with charities and NGOs to champion diversity & gender equality for young girls and women to rise them above poverty and childbirth. It was on this project that I met Lyndsey Love Azlynne who introduced me to the spirit of Qoya.

I was brought up a ballet dancer and studied at the McDonald College Performing Arts in Sydney, dance was my life & my greatest love, but somewhere along the line I gave everything to the corporate world and I forgot to dance.

When I received my first Qoya journey led by Lyndsey, my entire body felt like it had been turned inside out and then put back together again. During this journey, I quickly accessed the deeper, somatic layers of shame & grief that words in therapy could not speak.

My hips guided me into the shadows of trauma and for the first time, I surrendered & trusted my body’s wisdom. The awakened memories of being perfected, corrected, criticized, starved and strained came to surface and god it hurt so good! As the tears ran down my cheeks and my body let go of these distorted stories, I knew at that moment I was going to be Qoya teacher.

The next day I signed up my Qoya Teacher pilgrimage which took me from India, Bali the to Bryon Bay Australia!
